CHALLENGE
Marriott Hotels needed a fun and innovative social media campaign to promote the activation of the “local retail pop-up shop,” a Travel Brilliantly co-creation idea
inspired by a guest’s desire to purchase unique gifts from local retailers and artisans without having to leave the hotel. In partnership with American Express® and
its Shop Small® campaign, the brand chose two hotels – the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and the Boston Marriott Long Wharf – to set up in-hotel pop-up shops for the month of November.

A video campaign that showcased the hotels’ pop-up shop customers as ‘heroes,’ whose shopping experience stories were easily relatable to other guests seeking authentic moments during their travels
